Born from humble beginnings the Igreja Pentagonal da Bu00edblia stands as a testament to faith. This remarkable church in Su00e3o Paulo wasn’t built overnight. It’s a story rooted in the late 1940s. A group from the Igreja Presbiteriana Independente do Brasil began attending retreats. These meetings took place on a farm and in the home of Presbyterian elder Epaminondas and missionary Ada Silveira Lima. The group also connected with missionary Harold Edwin Williams. During a trip abroad Ada spoke in tongues. Epaminondas later received the same baptism.

The revivalist group eventually left the Igreja Presbiteriana Independente do Brasil. Upon Harold Edwin Williams return to the United States Epaminondas inherited a tent. This tent had been given to the missionary by Oral Roberts. Epaminondas started the Cruzada Brasileira de Evangelizau00e7u00e3o. He set up the first tents in the Cambuci Pari and Jabaquara neighborhoods. The national headquarters were built in Jabaquara. The church was later named ICPB Ministu00e9rio Porta da Vida.

The Igreja Pentagonal da Bu00edblia’s history isn’t just about tents and conversions. It’s about perseverance. It’s about growth from a small group to a denomination spanning Brazil Chile and the USA. It’s about the founding of the Seminu00e1rio Teolu00f3gico Porta da Vida in 1981. It’s about the APVIDAS a non-profit organization supporting asylums recovery houses and needy families. The Igreja Pentagonal da Bu00edblia continues its mission to spread the word of Jesus Christ remaining a relevant and biblical church. The church’s story is one of faith expansion and community service a true testament to its enduring legacy. It is a place where history and devotion intertwine. It is a place where faith continues to flourish.
