Did the vibrant tapestry of São Paulo ever witness such a devoted servant? For 40 years, Pastor Anselmo Nicolau dos Santos has graced the Igreja Batista de Vila Zatt with his presence. His ministry is a testament to faith and dedication. Here at the Igreja Batista de Vila Zatt, we celebrate his remarkable journey. Pastor Anselmo’s story began long before Vila Zatt. He served in various Baptist churches across the region, including Jardim São Salvador, Taboão da Serra, and even as far as Paranaíba. He left an enduring legacy wherever he went. His influence extended beyond the pulpit. He served as the director of the Religious Education Department for the Baptist Convention of São Paulo. His leadership also reached the national level, presiding over the Association of Baptist Religious Educators of Brazil for seven years. The Igreja Batista de Vila Zatt isn’t just a building; it’s a vibrant community woven together by faith. The church was organized in November 1955. Originally, it was called the “Igreja Batista em Vila Zatt” and was located on Rua Santo Antonio. Imagine those early members, 42 souls united by their shared beliefs, laying the foundation for what we see today. On September 17th, the Igreja Batista de Vila Zatt will host a special service to honor Pastor Anselmo’s 40 years of ministry. This celebration marks a milestone, a “jubilee of emerald,” reflecting his enduring impact on the community. Join the congregation at Rua Professor Aldo Locatelli, 375-385, to commemorate this remarkable man and his unwavering dedication to the Igreja Batista de Vila Zatt.
