A small group of believers gathered in 2006. They shared a dream. They envisioned a church grounded in biblical teachings, yet relevant to modern life, a church that would resonate with those unfamiliar with faith. This dream blossomed into the Igreja Baptista Nacoes Unidas, or IBNU. The IBNU officially launched on April 15, 2007. The initial gathering of around 20 people has grown to impact tens of thousands worldwide. From its early days meeting in the World Trade Center and Espaço Transatlântico, IBNU has always sought to create a dynamic and contemporary atmosphere while maintaining a firm commitment to biblical principles. The IBNU’s core focus has always been threefold: biblical teaching, spiritual growth, and active involvement in missions. Over the years, IBNU has celebrated countless conversions, even among former atheists. They have also played a significant role in planting seven new churches. These include CB Boa Vista, IB Chácara Flora, IB Ibira, IB Revive, IB Metrô, IB Navegantes, and IBNU Florida. IBNU’s ministerial reach extends to training and consecrating new pastors and supporting members in pursuing theological education at the bachelor and postgraduate levels. Beyond its local impact, IBNU has engaged in missionary and humanitarian projects both within Brazil and internationally. Their work in Brazil has touched various regions including São Paulo, Tocantins, Amazonas, Ceará, Piauí, and Roraima. Their international efforts have reached countries across the globe, from Paraguay and Peru to Japan, China, and regions in Africa, Europe, and Asia. At its heart, the Igreja Baptista Nacoes Unidas strives to stay true to the Word of God. They actively seek to avoid traditions that aren’t grounded in scripture. IBNU represents a unique blend of biblical fidelity and contemporary relevance, making it a vibrant and impactful presence in the global Christian community.
