Amidst the vibrant tapestry of São Paulo, a beacon of faith shines brightly: Igreja ADAI. Let us journey back to 2003, when Pastor Paulo Silas and his wife, Mara Soeiro, planted a seed of hope in the Alto do Ipiranga neighborhood. From this seed blossomed Igreja ADAI, opening its doors with a modest thirty members on May 1st. Pastor Silas, affectionately known as the “pastor of love,” nurtured the community. He tended to the needs of the people, guided by his unwavering faith. However, tragedy struck in 2008. Pastor Silas suffered a severe stroke, leaving doctors with little hope. For eleven long months, he lay in the hospital, surrounded by the prayers of his congregation, family, and friends. What seemed impossible to medical science became a testament to faith. Pastor Silas recovered, defying all odds. During his illness, Pastor Wilson Ventura faithfully led Igreja ADAI, ensuring the community remained strong. In 2010, Pastor Silas’s son, Rodrigo Soeiro, took the helm. He continued the legacy, nurturing the seed his parents had planted. Today, Igreja ADAI has grown to over 3,000 members. It spans across several regions, including Campestre, São Bernardo do Campo, Jardim Colorado, and Santos. United by their shared beliefs, the members of Igreja ADAI live by the scriptures. They demonstrate their love for God through acts of service, both within their community and abroad. Their missionary work extends to Spain and France, spreading their message of salvation. Igreja ADAI is more than just a church. It is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and community. It is a place where lives are transformed and hope is renewed.
