In 2009, a seed was planted in the fertile Alsatian ground. This seed, nurtured by local communities, businesses, and the ECAM group, blossomed into the ECAM Strasbourg-Europe. Now, standing before you, it has grown into the thriving ICAM Strasbourg-Europe. ICAM Strasbourg-Europe is one of France’s esteemed engineering schools, accredited to award engineering degrees. Initially the fourth school in the ECAM group, it transitioned in 2022. It became the seventh French site of the Institut catholique d’arts et métiers (ICAM), marking a new chapter in its history. ICAM Strasbourg-Europe isn’t just about equations and theories. It’s about shaping the future, one engineer at a time. The school boasts a robust program, producing classes of 120 engineers. By 2022, the student body had grown to an impressive 550. These students aren’t confined to textbooks and classrooms. They engage in real-world projects, collaborating with businesses to gain practical experience and hone their skills. The building itself is a testament to innovative design and sustainable practices. Its wooden frame and low energy consumption have earned it the national “Bâtiment Démonstrateur” label. Designed by Pierre Valantin of ARXarchitecture, it stands as a symbol of the school’s commitment to both education and the environment. Located at l’Espace européen de l’entreprise in Schiltigheim, it’s easily accessible by bus from Strasbourg’s center. ICAM Strasbourg-Europe’s motto, “Cœur, raison, avenir” (Heart, reason, future), embodies its philosophy. It reminds us that engineering is not just a profession but a vocation.
