Intrigued by the name, I paused at the Ian G Burness Plaque. This plaque is one of the many green plaques scattered across Sydney. They commemorate the Australian Bicentenary. The Royal Australian Historical Society partnered with the City of Sydney and the State Bank of New South Wales to create them. Between 1984 and 1988, they installed 101 of these plaques.
