It comes from the exposed steel frame and red Renga tiles on the system floor.
The layout is free. It supports seminars, conferences, group work, and diverse uses. The hall features AV equipment. This makes the space flexible.
Consider the smart features of I-REF\u68df. The hall’s AV and lighting are controlled by iPad. There are three room modes to choose from: Rinko, Lecture, and Meeting. Each mode adjusts the lighting. It optimizes it for the specific activity. The four speakers adjust to amplify sound. They focus on the speaker’s direction. Digital mixers fine-tune sound levels. This ensures optimal acoustics for each room mode.
I-REF\u68df is part of the University of Tokyo Green ICT Project. This project aims to create smart buildings. It integrates different systems. This includes air conditioning and lighting. It uses the IEEE1888 communication standard for data exchange. This enables unified management. It allows iPad control. It also visualizes power consumption.
