Journey with me to Hung Heung Lo Fung. This peak offers breathtaking views. It’s also known as Red Incense Burner. Hung Heung Lo Fung stands 228 meters tall on Hong Kong Island. The famed Wilson Trail Stage 2 winds near its summit. This makes it a popular spot for hikers. Hung Heung Lo Fung offers a stunning panorama. You can see North Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour, and Kowloon from the top. It’s a perfect spot for sunrise or sunset viewing. There are several ways to reach the summit. All routes are relatively easy. The quickest route involves taking Minibus 25 from Causeway Bay to Braemar Hill. From there, it’s a short walk and a climb over a pedestrian fence. Another option is a longer, scenic hike from Mount Butler Road. This path offers glimpses of Mount Butler Quarry and Sir Cecil’s Ridge. Hung Heung Lo Fung can get crowded, especially at the summit boulder range. The best photo spot is actually a rock further down the trail. After enjoying the views, you can return the same way or continue to Sir Cecil’s Ride for a longer hike. This mostly flat path leads to a less crowded viewing platform. From there, it’s a short walk to North Point.
