The Hong Kong Girl Guides Sandilands Centre is nestled on Wong Nai Chung Gap Road. It offers a welcome escape, a place where nature and nurture intertwine. Although surrounded by high-rise buildings, the centre is a green oasis. Trees, grass, flowers, and sitting areas create a tranquil atmosphere. This allows girls to connect with nature while developing essential life skills. The centre caters to various camping experiences. It accommodates up to 40 overnight campers, 100 day campers, and 100 evening campers.
The Sandilands Centre also serves as a training ground. It offers a diverse range of activities for girls of all ages. From Brownies to Guides and Rangers, each group finds a space to learn and grow at the centre. The facilities include dormitories, a garden, a hall, a kitchen, restrooms, and outdoor activity areas. English-speaking units also meet at the Sandilands Centre. This makes it a truly inclusive environment for girls from diverse backgrounds. The 1st IS Pack and 1st IS Coy both meet here on Fridays. This offers a dedicated space for English-speaking girls to participate in guiding activities.
