Have you ever imagined 350 people gathered for a week of intense Bible study? Well, picture this: August 2010 at the Hong Kong Bible Research and Education Centre in Shatin. The Centre buzzed with activity. I arrived, fresh off a rather exciting airport dash. My flight was at 4:40 pm and I arrived at the gate at 4:17 pm. Luckily, I made it just in time. Now, the Hong Kong Bible Research and Education Centre became my temporary home. It served as the hub for the Far Eastern Training for the Testimony of the Lord (FTTHK) and Shatin district meetings. This wasn’t just a study center though. It was a place for perfecting training, where believers from China came to deepen their understanding. My first day at the Hong Kong Bible Research and Education Centre was quiet. I contributed to the cleaning service, preparing for the influx of attendees. The next day, however, promised a trip to the Institute with two fellow students. The Hong Kong Bible Research and Education Centre served as a jumping-off point for further exploration.
