“Desire to be” is not just a phrase here at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church. It is the bedrock of our community. Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church seeks to be a church that begins and ends with the Triune God of the Scriptures. Our church’s very existence depends upon God’s sovereign mercies. These mercies throughout history accomplish our salvation. They gather us together as the body of his redeemed.
We stand here today before Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church. We are not just admiring a building. We are recognizing a living testament to faith. This church is not just bricks and mortar. It is a vibrant community. It is a place where reverence for God shapes every aspect of life. We worship God as our good Creator. We worship him as our merciful Redeemer.
Think about the prayers offered within these walls. Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church prays for humble people. They recognize our reckless rebellion against our good Creator. They recognize the free and boundless grace. This grace he has given us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The deeper we understand Christ’s mercies. The more deeply we grow together. We are members of his body. We share warm affection. We offer tangible service to each other’s needs.
These mercies also lead us to present the Gospel to the world. In every aspect of our ministry. We emphasize the Word of God. Its central message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We acknowledge the necessary work of the Holy Spirit. We recognize our absolute dependence upon God in prayer.
