Holy Trinity Armenian Apostoletic Church

In 1928 a small group of Armenian immigrants arrived in Toronto. They sought solace and community. They founded the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church. For 25 years they worshipped in another church. This wasn’t their own building though. This was only a temporary arrangement. The Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church needed its own space. Finally in 1953 thanks to donations from the Armenian Diaspora they built their own church. It was constructed in Scarborough. This new church the first of its kind in Toronto became a symbol of their resilience and faith. It was named after the church that had housed them for a quarter of a century.
