Standing in front of Heron City, you might feel as if you’ve stepped into a movie set. This sprawling entertainment center, built in 2001, is known for its sheer size, housing one of Scandinavia’s largest cinemas with 18 screens! It was originally designed to be an “entertainment center” and offered things beyond just shopping. Imagine, bowling with friends, catching the latest blockbuster, and then grabbing a bite at a restaurant. But Heron City underwent a major makeover, adding more retail space, making it a popular destination for both shoppers and entertainment seekers. Today, you can browse through a vast selection of household goods at Media Markt, relax at the SATS health and fitness center, or find tasty treats at the Willys supermarket. But here’s a fun fact: Heron City was the first in a string of cinema investments in Sweden!
