The Herbert-Mayr-Park spans approximately 14,000 square meters in Liesing. It is located between the Liesing River, Fabergasse, Haeckelstraße and Untere Aquäduktgasse. It offers a variety of attractions for all ages.

At the beginning of the 20th century, architect Leopold Simony designed houses for brewery workers. These buildings border the Herbert-Mayr-Park. Simony was a pioneer in social housing. The brewery ceased beer bottling in the 1970s. After a fire in 2005, the brewery was demolished. A shopping center and apartment complex were built in its place.
