After his playing days ended Henryk Antczak continued to impact the world of volleyball. He became an academic. He taught at the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw. For years he headed their Tourism and Recreation Department. He shaped the careers of countless athletes and trainers. He passed on not just skills but also the spirit of fair play.

His contributions went far beyond the volleyball court. He was a decorated soldier serving in the ranks of the Home Army during the occupation. He worked in various positions after the war including at the State Repatriation Office in Kutno. He studied law initially at the University and Polytechnic in Wroclaw before focusing on physical education. He graduated with the first class of physical education graduates in 1949.

His life was a testament to resilience dedication and a passion for sports and his country. Though he passed away on June 4 1985 this tomb stands as a lasting tribute. It serves as a reminder of a life well-lived a life dedicated to excellence. Henryk Antczak’s legacy continues to inspire generations. He is remembered not just for his victories but for the values he embodied. His spirit lives on.
