Established in 1975 as “Gymnasium Fühlinger Weg”, this school has seen its share of changes. Originally housed in an older building, the Heinrich-Mann-Gymnasium moved into its current main building in 1979. They even celebrated with a visit from the Minister of the Interior, Burkhard Hirsch! Over the years, the Heinrich-Mann-Gymnasium embraced technology. It established a computer center in 1984 and introduced computer science as a subject, a very modern move for the time. And speaking of modern, in 2018, the school got a brand new building with a cafeteria, new classrooms, common areas, and even dedicated art rooms. But the Heinrich-Mann-Gymnasium is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a place where students learn, grow, and make memories. Did you know that every two years, students participate in a sponsored run around the Fühlinger See? This event isn’t just about fitness; it raises money for charitable organizations.
