Called by God in 1995, Harvest Life Changers Church began its journey. Bishop Lyle Dukes and Pastor Deborah Dukes started with a single service. It was held in a music classroom at Potomac High School. Their daughter, Pastor Brittany, joined them. Their mission to transform lives through Jesus drives the church still.

In January 1995, Harvest Life Changers Church held its first service. It took place at Potomac High School in Woodbridge, VA. March 26th marked the grand opening. Bishop Rufus Hayes officiated the pastoral installation in July 1995. Weekly outreaches began to win souls for Christ.

In 1996, Harvest Life Changers Church expanded its reach. It began television broadcasts on local cable. These aired in Prince William County, Fairfax County and Washington D.C.. Commercials invited the community to worship services.

As membership grew, Harvest Life Changers Church needed more space. The music classroom became too small. The church moved to the auditorium at Potomac High School. They worshipped there until moving to Telegraph Road.

In 2000, Harvest Life Changers Church purchased a former Levitz furniture store. It was located on Telegraph Road in Woodbridge, VA. Renovations began on the new facility.

October 2001 marked a significant milestone. Harvest Life Changers Church cut the ribbon. They moved into their new five million dollar facility. Dedication services occurred throughout the month.

From 2001 to 2003, Harvest Life Changers Church achieved new heights. They recorded and released their first choir CD. It gained national distribution. International broadcasting began via television. The Inspirational Network INSP carried the services.

New Year’s Service in 2004 brought celebration. Harvest Life Changers Church burned the mortgage. The Telegraph Road church was paid off in three years.

Also in 2004, the second choir CD was released. It debuted in the national top twenty Billboard. A professional music video aired on national gospel networks.

In 2009, Harvest Life Changers Church expanded globally. They completed a 2,000-seat Harvest Conference Center. It is located in Nakuru, Kenya. It serves as a worship center. It also provides pastoral training. It acts as a food and clothing distribution center.

Ground broke in 2011 on Neabsco Mills Road. This was for a new Harvest Life Changers Church location. Site work commenced.

From 2016 to 2019, significant progress occurred. The exterior and structure of the new building took shape. The state-of-the-art facility spans 204,000 square feet. It includes a 2,000+ seat sanctuary. A large parking lot is featured. A grand foyer welcomes visitors. An event center hosts gatherings. A community reach center serves local needs. A youth center engages young people. A food court provides refreshments. Classrooms and offices support ministry activities.

In 2022, Bishop and Pastor Deborah founded Churches United. It is a global organization. It empowers and unites churches. Churches United includes over 400 congregations worldwide. They are in the United States, Europe and Africa. Bishop Lyle Dukes serves as the Presiding Bishop. Pastor Deborah Dukes is the Executive Director.

From 2022 to the present, changes continue. The worship center on Telegraph Road was sold. The drainage system is complete. The parking lot and building exterior are finished. Interior construction and design progress. Harvest Life Changers Church prepares to occupy its new building.
