The gamble on English porcelain paid off. Gustavsberg became a pioneer. It won a variety of international awards.

Under the leadership of proprietor Wilhelm Odelberg the foundations were laid. Gustavsberg became a major company at the end of the century.

Gustavsberg developed a unique water-saving technology. It resulted in a global patent. Fitting the mixer with a flow block meant that users saved both water and money. The water-saving mixers became a huge export success.

In 2021 Gustavsberg became the first manufacturer to receive EPDs. These are Environmental Product Declarations. They were for mixers and sanitary porcelain.

Gustavsberg has continued to develop smart sustainable products of Nordic design for the whole bathroom. It is what they do best.
