Rev. Tony Lowrey leads Guildfield Baptist Church. He began his Christian journey here at 16. Rev. Dr. Elijah Sutton, Jr. mentored him. Sutton’s fervent teaching shaped Lowrey’s life. Lowrey was licensed and ordained on Oct. 7, 2001. In 2011, Lowrey married Tynea Crawford. Together, they have 10 children and 7 grandchildren.
Pastor Sutton was a true servant. He fed the hungry and sheltered the homeless. He impacted countless lives. His work for God seemed natural. Pastor Lowery said Sutton left a trail of service. This trail calls us to feed the hungry and heal the sick. It urges us to lift up Jesus.
