Let’s step inside and discover the story of this library. The Greystanes Library is one of several libraries within the Cumberland City Council. Other branches include Auburn, Granville, Guildford, and Merrylands. You can also find libraries in Lidcombe, Regents Park, and Wentworthville.

Greystanes Library provides free access to various services. These encompass programs, collections, and spaces. They meet the community’s needs for recreation, information, and education. The library also fosters connections within Cumberland.

The Library Strategy 2024-2027 outlines the vision for library services. Cumberland City Council aims to offer sustainable and innovative services. They should be accessible and inclusive. This strategy guides the direction and delivery of library services. It will do so over the next three years.

Recent achievements include increased access to technology. Flexible spaces for study and work have been created. There are additional social programs too.

The library actively seeks community feedback. This helps shape the direction of its services. In January 2024, the council sought feedback on the Draft Library Strategy 2024-2027. The consultation period ran until February 19, 2024. Printed versions of the draft strategy were available at the Greystanes Library.
