For 39 years, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached here. The Greater Church of Deliverance was established in 1990 marking 35 years of established ministry. Today over 57 churches are affiliated stateside. There are also international churches.
Greater Deliverance Church of God in Christ offers something for everyone. Various group meetings take place throughout the week. These include prayer gatherings and Bible studies. They are specifically tailored for children teens and adults. These ministries meet needs through the teaching of the Word. They encourage worshiping together. True Deliverance Church of God began on November 12 1967. Six people met with the Late Apostle Albert Venson Sr. The first service was held at 1223 7th Street NW Washington DC. On May 4th 1970 the ministry moved to a larger building. It was located at 2107 10th Street NW. People were saved healed and delivered. This was through the power of God. The ministry continued to grow at this location. On Sundays Apostle Venson and the congregation went out. They picked up people for the service. They fed the hungry.
Greater Deliverance Christian Center also operates a food pantry. It provides free groceries. Groceries are given out every month on the second Tuesday.
