In 1999 a small group started Grace Covenant Church in Washington DC. They met in a local elementary school. Their first service was in early March. They dreamed big. They believed God could transform lives.
Grace Covenant Church is more than just a building. It’s a multicultural and multigenerational community. It’s part of Every Nation Churches a global network. Their mission is to spread the gospel worldwide. The church has multiple locations in DC including Brookland Capitol Hill Georgetown Tenleytown and East River. They also have congregations in other areas.
The church in Brookland began with fourteen members from Virginia. They had a vision to plant a church in the heart of DC. Their faith hasn’t been in vain. Lives are being changed. Children find hope university students discover purpose. Grace Covenant Church is a diverse community. Professionals are inspired broken people find healing. Marriages and families are restored. They strive to love live and lead as Jesus did.
Today Grace Covenant Church in Brookland meets at 3100 18th St NE. Services are on Sundays at 11 am. They also have weekly small groups across the city. Their passion is to know Jesus intimately and make Him known. They want to influence people locally and globally.
Their vision is to be a powerful people with a heart for God and God’s heart for people. Their mission is to connect people to Jesus and equip them to go for Jesus. They hold strong beliefs about the Bible the Trinity Jesus’ life redemption through Christ and the Holy Spirit. Grace Covenant Church is a testament to faith hope and love.
