Gazing up at Górka Kazurka, did you ever imagine this humble hill held such a vibrant history? Górka Kazurka, also known as Wzgórze Trzech Szczytów or simply Kazurka, isn’t a natural formation. This artificial hill in Ursynów district, within the Cichociemnych Spadochroniarzy AK Park, was born from the earth excavated during the construction of the Warsaw Metro’s M1 line in the 1980s. The name “Kazurka” comes from nearby Kazury Street, named after composer Stanisław Kazuro. He probably never envisioned his name associated with a hub for mountain biking, dirt jumping, and paragliding! Górka Kazurka became a haven for thrill-seekers around 2000. A simple dual slalom track evolved into a full-fledged four-cross course. Dirt jumps appeared at the base, and in 2015, a beginner’s section and a pump track were added. By 2018, it boasted the largest pump track in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. Górka Kazurka isn’t just for adrenaline junkies. This hill welcomes runners, remote-control model enthusiasts, and those simply seeking a panoramic view. From its peak, you can see the Raszyn radio mast, planes landing at Okęcie Airport, and the towers of Natolin’s churches. It’s a place where history and recreation intertwine, offering a unique perspective on Warsaw’s urban landscape.
