With his son Filippo, Giovanni Caprioglio founded Caprioglio Associati in 1999. His work constantly reflected an attempt to create architecture appropriate to its location. He aimed for harmony with the pre-existing context.

Giovanni Caprioglio received several awards. In 1989, he won the In/Arch prizes for the Rivignano municipality and the Gemona hospital. In 1991, he received the AICA award for the Tessera naval aircraft hangar.

In 1994, Giovanni Caprioglio received a special mention for the Cinema Palazzo. This was at the Marble Architecture Award in Carrara. In 2008, he was nominated for the City of Venice Architecture award. This was for cooperative residential buildings in Asseggiano.

Giovanni Caprioglio’s dedication to green spaces was well-known. He played a vital role in raising environmental awareness. He always managed San Giuliano Park with dedication. His sensibility made a difference. His efforts helped make the park increasingly accessible and useful to the city.
