Tradition dictates a festive gathering. It occurs annually in the Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen’s cafeteria. The Technikerweihnachtsfeier takes place on the last school day before Christmas.

In October 2024, the Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen hosted a fashion show. The Friseur & Kosmetik-Innung Rems-Murr presented its autumn/winter collection. Gülistân Kiliç’s initiative made it possible.
In July 2024, the vocational school class for hairdressers visited the Württembergische Landesbühne in Esslingen. Ms. Hauber, Ms. Wolfart, and Ms. Iosifidou accompanied the students.
Ingo Espenschied brought his “DokuLive: 75 Years of Europe” series to the school. This series taught pupils about the history of German democracy. It also explained the Basic Law.
Fadi Saad, a former gang member, visited the Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen. He shared his experiences with the law in Berlin-Neukölln. Today, he is a police officer and author.
The Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen recognized Ensinger GmbH and Mr. Enes Öcal. They received an award for their exceptional training performance.

The Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen offers a technical gymnasium. It provides a general higher education entrance qualification. This allows students to study at any German university.
Students from Realschule, Werkrealschule, and Berufsaufbauschule can attend. They need an average grade of 3.0 in German, English, and Mathematics. Individual grades must not be lower than sufficient.
The school offers practical lessons in labs and workshops. Project work strengthens independence and teamwork. Students receive well-founded vocational training.
Profile subjects include information technology and mechatronics. Also offered is technology and management.
Since 2018/19, classes in the TG have used tablets. Students receive their own Samsung tablets. Classrooms have WLAN access points. Digital learning is now supported.
Extracurricular activities include ski trips and study trips. There is a company partnership with Hafner. Students can also participate in a winter sports day. Excursions are common too.
Core subjects include German, Mathematics, and English. Students can also choose French or Spanish.
Compulsory subjects are History, Economics, Religion, Physics, Chemistry, and Sports.
Elective subjects include Computer Technology and Global Studies. There is also Philosophy and Psychology.
The Gewerbliche Schule Waiblingen provides vocational guidance. Katrin Becker from the employment agency offers individual consultations. Students can book appointments through the school system.
