Nestled within the vibrant heart of Tokyo, Geno Studio Inc. pulses with creative energy. It’s a place where stories come to life, born from the minds of talented artists and animators. Geno Studio Inc. is a subsidiary of Twin Engine, a renowned animation production company. The studio was established on November 19, 2015 by Kôji Yamamoto. Yamamoto had a rich history in the anime world, having previously worked as a producer for Fuji TV’s Noitamina block. Many of the staff at Geno Studio Inc. came from the now-defunct studio Manglobe, bringing with them a wealth of experience and a passion for animation. This lineage is evident in the studio’s impressive portfolio, which spans television series, OVAs, films, and even contributions to the Star Wars universe. Geno Studio Inc. took over the production of the film “Genocidal Organ” from Manglobe, a project that marked a significant step for the young studio. They have also produced popular anime series like “Kokkoku: Moment by Moment,” adapted from the manga by Seita Horio, and “Golden Kamuy,” based on Satoru Noda’s manga. “Pet,” adapted from the manga by Ranjō Miyake, and the original work “Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys!” are further testaments to the studio’s versatility. Geno Studio Inc. even contributed to the “Star Wars: Visions” project with the short film “Lop & Ochō.” This venture into the galaxy far, far away highlighted the studio’s ability to blend its unique style with established franchises. Geno Studio Inc. continues to push the boundaries of animation, crafting compelling narratives and captivating visuals that resonate with audiences worldwide.
