In May 2009, Warsaw honored the Dalai Lama. He was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the city. Shortly after, the Inna Przestrzeń Foundation and 3fala.art.pl created something special. They launched a project called City Doping Festival. As part of this festival, they envisioned a large graffiti piece near the planned Rondo (Wolnego) Tybetu. Around one hundred people participated in painting this mural. It stretched over one hundred meters.
Dariusz Paczkowski is the artistic director of the Galeria Tybetańska. The gallery aims to educate Warsaw residents. It teaches them about Tibet’s culture, history and current situation.
