Opened in 1964 as a local leisure center, Freibad Heuried quickly became a beloved summer escape. Between 2014 and 2017, Freibad Heuried underwent a stunning transformation. The architecture firm EM2N breathed new life into the center. They replaced the old pavilion buildings with a bright, airy entrance. Now, colored glass panes cast playful patterns of light, welcoming visitors into this urban oasis. Outside, wooden walkways meander through groves of European trees. This thoughtful renovation preserved the heart of Freibad Heuried while enhancing its beauty and functionality.
