Established in 1959 in Willowdale, Forest Grove United Church has always been a hub of generous and hardworking people. The church, led by the Church Council and Reverend Dr. Cameron Watts, quickly became a cornerstone of the community. Forest Grove United Church offered a place of worship and fostered a sense of belonging. Its members dedicated themselves to serving others. They contributed their time and resources to numerous community initiatives. Forest Grove United Church was more than just a building. It was a living testament to the power of faith and community spirit. In December, the church was particularly active, bustling with visitors and community events. It hosted gatherings, celebrations, and spiritual guidance for its 57 visitors. The church received 44 likes on Facebook, reflecting its positive impact on the community. Sadly, Forest Grove United Church has been sold as of 2024. The congregation has now merged with Jubilee United Church, located on Underhill near Lawrence. The legacy of Forest Grove United Church remains, woven into the fabric of Willowdale’s history.
