The staff at Florence Nightingale Elementary School are dedicated. They include teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 7. There are also non-enrolling staff. These staff members include the area counsellor and speech language pathologist. The CELI resource teacher and the music teacher are also important. An artist in residence adds creativity. Support staff keeps everything running smoothly. The office admin assistants are essential. Building engineers maintain the building. An Indigenous Enhancement Worker provides cultural support. The Youth and Family Worker supports families. SSAs provide student support. Supervision aids ensure safety. A school psychologist is also available.
Florence Nightingale Elementary School is part of the Vancouver School Board. The board acknowledges the Coast Salish peoples. They live, work and play on the unceded territories. These territories belong to the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam nations.
Throughout February, Florence Nightingale Elementary School joins other schools. They learn about Black communities. This learning includes voices, contributions and histories. It spans both local and global perspectives.
