The first official service took place at Baldwin Elementary School. This was in Manassas Virginia. Nine months had passed since they first gathered. This nine-month period mirrored the development of a new child. Thus the name New Birth was chosen.
In October 1992 First New Birth Baptist Church held its official recognition service. It took place at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Northern Virginia Baptist Association recognized the church. They stated that First New Birth Baptist Church was in accordance with their practices.
First New Birth Baptist Church embraces new beginnings. Isaiah 43:18-19 inspires them. It says Behold I will do a new thing.
