In 1919, the cornerstone for the First Baptist Church of Savage was finally laid. The First Baptist Church of Savage community had persevered, meeting first in Kingsbury Hall (also known as Billard Hall) and later in Pickett’s Hall on 8909 Baltimore Street. Imagine their joy as they watched their own church building rise on Washington Street. The First Baptist Church of Savage has been a pillar of the Savage community ever since. They even manage the Bread of Life Food Pantry, extending their mission of service beyond their walls. This church stands as a testament to the dedication and faith of those early members who envisioned a permanent home for their congregation. Today, the First Baptist Church of Savage continues to serve its community, offering spiritual guidance and practical support to those in need.
