But who was Adib Moisés Dib? Adib Moisés Dib was born in Argentina on February 16 1908. He immigrated to Brazil in 1913. Of Arab descent, he made São Bernardo his permanent home in 1947. He was actively involved in the community. In 1949, he joined the Masonic Lodge “Cavaleiros de Santo André”. Later in 1963, he helped found São Bernardo do Campo’s first Masonic lodge. It was named “Fraternidade de São Bernardo do Campo”. This lodge was founded in his house.
Fatec Adib Moisés Dib began its activities on August 1 2005. It started with an Information Technology course. The course emphasized Business Management. There were 40 places available in the afternoon and 40 at night. In 2006, the Industrial Automation course was added. Forty places were available in the morning. The evening program for Automation began in 2009.
In 2015, Fatec Adib Moisés Dib introduced a Business Management course. It was offered online with 40 places per semester. Advanced Manufacturing was introduced in 2020. Forty places were available each semester for the evening course. Today nearly 1000 students are enrolled here.
Fatec Adib Moisés Dib provides higher education courses. These courses are free and last three years. Studies include Industrial Automation. Other subjects are Business IT and Business Management. Students can also study Advanced Manufacturing.
