The Faculté des Langues at the University of Strasbourg is more than just a building. It is a place of discovery. It is a place of cultural exchange. This faculty offers four degree programs. These include Bachelor’s, Master’s, University Degree and teacher training.

The Faculté des Langues boasts impressive figures. Over 2,000 students walk through its doors. They learn from 83 lecturers and researchers. 134 teachers share their knowledge. 19 administrative staff members keep everything running smoothly.
Research thrives here too. Several associated research units call this place home. There is the Research group for Oriental, Slavonic and Modern Greek Studies. Also German studies: memory and borders. Knowledge in the anglophone area focuses on representations, culture, and history. Romance studies explores culture and history. Linguistics, language and speech are also researched here.
Student life is rich and diverse. Several student associations add to the community. Chama is the Portugese student association. Treffpunkt is the German student association. APEA is the English-Speaking Students association.
In March 2025, the Faculté des Langues hosted an exposition. It was dedicated to D’Lëtzebuerger Sprooch(en). This translates to Luxembourgish language(s). The Aula du Patio hosted the event.
The Faculté des Langues extends its reach beyond languages. The Faculty of Applied Language Studies and Humanities connects foreign languages. They combine it with economics, international relations, and law. This faculty also includes ITIRI. It is an internationally renowned institute for interpretation and translation.
