Have you ever tasted wine fresh from the press? Here at the Wine Production Exposition nestled within the St Klara vineyard you can almost feel the grapes bursting with juice. This isn’t just any cellar it’s a testament to modern winemaking. Construction started between 2005 and 2006. The eroding slope needed reinforcement. By 2009 the cellar was finished. The first grapes were processed in this very building.

The Wine Production Exposition boasts 200 square meters of space. It’s divided into three distinct areas. The first section showcases sparkling stainless steel technology. A crusher-de-stemmer gently releases the juice. A peristaltic pump ensures a smooth flow. A pneumatic membrane press extracts the last precious drops. A vinificator oversees the initial fermentation.

Next you’ll find stainless steel tanks. These are not your grandfather’s wooden barrels. These tanks are part of a computer-controlled fermentation system. Precise temperature and oxygen levels are monitored. Different types of filters ensure purity. Finally a bottling and labeling line prepares the wine for its journey.

In the final section of the Wine Production Exposition you’ll discover the magic of aging. Representative storage spaces hold countless bottles. Oak barrels line the walls. Red and white wines mature here. The oak imparts subtle flavors and aromas. The cellar’s atmosphere contributes to the wine’s unique character.

Sunday afternoons at 1pm and 3pm offer guided tours. These are typically in Czech. English tours are available by request. For 350 CZK you can explore this hidden gem. The Wine Production Exposition awaits.
