In September 2010 the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Londonderry was one of five centers in Australia. The others were in Brisbane. Cohuna Victoria. Launceston and Winnaleah Tasmania. Until 2014 there was a small school at Herrick near Winnaleah.

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s story is intertwined with the broader Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Australia. It started in Launceston Tasmania. The church was constituted on September 29 1961. It shared a doctrinal basis with the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia.

Initially it was named the Reformed Evangelical Church. The name changed in 1966. Australian society was unfamiliar with the term ‘reformed’. People associated it with reform schools.

The creation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church was part of a revival. This revival was in Reformed and Calvinist theology. It was among Australian evangelical Christians from the 1950s.

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church adheres to the Westminster Standards. It rejects common grace. It denies God has unfulfilled desires for the salvation of the reprobate. It denies God has any love for the non-elect.

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church Londonderry maintains exclusive psalmody. It excludes musical instruments in worship.

Revd Brian Dole serves as the minister. Niall McIntosh serves as an elder. Morning services are at 11 a.m. Evening services are at 5:30 p.m. Contact the church to confirm service times.
