“A school with two names? How peculiar!” you might think as we stand before Enskede gård gymnasium. Enskede gård gymnasium, originally built in 1962, has long been a cornerstone of education in this part of Stockholm. Designed by architect Åke Lindquist, it witnessed generations of students pass through its doors. But in a twist of fate, it recently underwent a significant renovation. Reopening its doors in August 2024, it retained its structure but embraced a new identity – Betty Petterssons gymnasium. Despite the name change, its commitment to education remains, with nearly 600 students pursuing various national programs within these very walls. Imagine the halls bustling with the energy of young minds, eager to learn and shape their futures. Not a bad location either, with Enskede gård centrum and the tunnelbana station a mere stone’s throw away. So, while the name may have changed, the spirit of learning lives on, echoing within the classrooms of this revitalized institution.
