The relationship continued into the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic. In 1993, that country dissolved. Peru recognized the Czech Republic and Slovakia as successor states. Today, the Embassy of Peru remains in Prague. The ambassador in Vienna also represents Peru in Slovakia.
