“Notice the L shape.” That’s what I want you to remember as we approach Edifício Saint Honoré. This building has stood here since the late 1950s. It finished construction in the early 1960s.

Edifício Saint Honoré is one of the most famous buildings on Avenida Paulista. This is one of São Paulo’s main thoroughfares. João Artacho Jurado designed it.

Edifício Saint Honoré features 25 floors. Each floor houses six apartments. These apartments range from 170 to 223 square meters.

From Avenida Paulista, you can easily spot the gardens on the ground floor. The long balconies running along the entire building are also quite striking. These balconies offer residents stunning views of the city.

Let’s talk about one apartment inside Edifício Saint Honoré. It is a 160-square-meter space. To create a spacious social area numerous walls were demolished. The new layout centers on an open-plan living and dining room. It includes a study and kitchen. Movable partitions separate these areas.

The custom-made partitions feature a wooden panel at the bottom. Clear glass is in the top section. Patterned glass sits in between for privacy.

The designers contrasted the partitions with rugged concrete surfaces. Exposed brickwork dominates the space. Herringbone flooring adds a touch of mid-century heritage. Wooden inlays mark the original walls’ positions.

The apartment was stripped down to its core. Visible pipework is a deliberate design choice. Junction boxes and cable trays are painted white. Stainless-steel kitchen cabinets enhance the industrial loft vibe.

A vintage furniture collection blends seamlessly with contemporary pieces. The apartment’s decor blurs the lines. It combines industrial, modernist and modern styles.

Edifício Saint Honoré blends indoor and outdoor living. The balconies provide private outdoor space. They also contribute to the building’s architectural appeal. The gardens on the ground floor offer a green oasis in the urban landscape.

The building’s design emphasizes both aesthetics and functionality. The apartments are spacious. The layout promotes social interaction. The materials create a unique atmosphere.

Edifício Saint Honoré is more than just a building. It is a piece of São Paulo’s history. It reflects the city’s architectural evolution. Its design elements showcase a blend of styles. It exemplifies how modern and vintage elements can coexist.

As we conclude our visit to Edifício Saint Honoré remember its L-shape. Recall its gardens and balconies. Think about the blend of styles within its walls. This building is a testament to São Paulo’s architectural heritage. It stands as a symbol of design innovation.
