People were drawn to its tranquility and proximity to Prague. The village grew, transforming into a desirable location. Now, a beautifully restored castle graces its heart. This castle, rebuilt in the late 16th century by Krištof Šelencký of Sebuzín, replaced the old fortress. Imagine the grandeur of its time! In the 19th century, a charming touch was added – the Chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene. Today, the castle serves as a hotel. It stands as a symbol of Dolní Břežany’s journey from humble beginnings to modern-day charm.
