The Diyanet Center of America started as the Turkish American Islamic Foundation in 1993. Its mission grew. It became the Turkish American Community Center in 2003. After a major construction project, it was renamed Diyanet Center of America. The Turkish government’s Directorate of Religious Affairs supports the center. The result is a unique cultural village.
