“Ever consider where nearly 430 students find a home away from home?” That’s Cypress Hall Building B. It is one half of Cypress Hall, at the corner of USF Genshaft Drive and Holly Drive. Cypress Hall Building B, or RCB, stands as a suite-style residence hall. It welcomes both first-year students and upperclassmen.
Inside Cypress Hall Building B, you’ll find suite-style living. These suites consist of two double-occupancy bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Each suite houses four students of the same gender identity. Space is ample. Most bedroom areas measure approximately 14’2″ x 12’9″, totaling about 212 square feet.
Each resident gets essential furniture. This includes a twin XL bed and a dresser measuring about 24″x30″. Also included is a chair and a desk, about 24″x48″. Built-in closet space provides individual storage. Bathrooms include a toilet, shower, and sink, cleaned weekly. Toilet paper and shower curtain liners are provided. Each room features a window.
Cypress Hall Building B offers several amenities. You’ll find a kitchen on every floor. A study lounge with Ethernet connection is also on each floor. Laundry facilities are conveniently located in the community building, Cypress E.
Connectivity is key. Residents enjoy Ethernet connections in their rooms and WiFi throughout the building. The average internet speed is 250Mbps, with speeds up to 1Gbps. Help is always available with 24-hour, on-call emergency maintenance.
