Have you ever heard of a church born in a garage? The Comunidade Evangélica Tempo de Deus, right here before us, has just such a story. In 2006, Pastors João Sobrinho and Madalena visited a family in their home. They noticed the large garage and felt a divine calling. Pastor Madalena proclaimed, “God shows me that there’s a people to be born and congregate in this place!” Thus began the humble beginnings of the Comunidade Evangélica Tempo de Deus. Though initially hesitant, the family agreed to host a small cell group in their garage. By early 2007, the group grew to over twenty people. On April 1st, 2007, the Ministério Profético Tempo de Vida, the precursor to the Comunidade Evangélica Tempo de Deus, held its inaugural service in the same garage. Forty-seven people attended this memorable service, marking the birth of this vibrant community. The church continued to grow, and in 2008, they moved into a new hall, which is where we stand today. They continued to hold impactful events, fostering growth and spiritual development. The Comunidade Evangélica Tempo de Deus’s journey is a testament to the power of faith and community, rising from a simple garage to a thriving place of worship. Their motto, “Sou Servo” (I am a Servant), reflects their dedication to service and community.
