“A seed of faith, planted in the heart of Jardim Tremembé.” That’s the story of Comunidade Católica Santa Rosa de Lima. It began in 1973, a year of both hard work and spiritual beginnings. Right here, on May 1st, which is not only Labor Day but also the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, Padre Francisco and the Parish Sisters of St. Francis established this community. Comunidade Católica Santa Rosa de Lima wasn’t just built on a foundation of bricks and mortar. It was built on the dedication of these individuals. The Parish Sisters of St. Francis, especially Sister Ana Maria Schroeder, have been instrumental in the community’s growth. Sister Ana has been here since the beginning, and now Sister Rosa Schroeder works alongside her. Their dedication has kept the heart of this community beating strong. The Guanellian Fathers, Servants of Charity, also contribute significantly to Comunidade Católica Santa Rosa de Lima. They celebrate Mass, hear confessions, visit the sick, and provide spiritual guidance. The seminarians actively participate in various pastoral activities like Confirmation, Catechesis, and music ministry. It truly is a collaborative effort. The community also has a council, ensuring the smooth operation of Comunidade Católica Santa Rosa de Lima. It’s made up of the pastor of São Pedro Apóstolo Parish, the Franciscan Sisters, a Guanellian Father, and representatives from the various pastoral groups within the community. This council meets monthly, discussing the needs and activities of the community. The Comunidade Católica Santa Rosa de Lima has been a beacon of faith and community for over 40 years. It has been a place of worship, celebration, and support. It is a testament to the power of faith and community.
