In 1869, a building committee secured land. This land was across from the present church. On it, they built the frame Andrew Chapel in 1869.
The groundbreaking for the present sanctuary occurred on May 4, 1958. Later that year, on November 16, the cornerstone was laid. It sits at the base of the east entrance. The building was consecrated on May 3, 1959. A week later, Sunday worship began in Andrew Chapel. At a designated moment, the congregation moved. Hymnals in hand, they followed Rev. Paul Groseclose and the choir. They walked across Randolph Road to the new building. This road was then Glenmont Road. The service concluded there.
The Education wing began construction in 1963. Groundbreaking was on August 4. It was consecrated on March 22, 1964. Rev. Dr. O. Ammon Bartley served as Pastor. In 1968, the church received its current name. It became Colesville United Methodist Church.
