It is with the original CNN channel. Warner Bros. Discovery owns it. CNN Brasil is the second local CNN franchise in South America. CNN Chile was the first.

Reinaldo Gottino left RecordTV on September 16, 2019. He joined CNN Brasil. He was the first reporter who wasn’t a TV Globo employee to join. On November 4, Ta\u00eds Lopes was hired. She had guest-anchored Globo’s Jornal Nacional.
