Established in 1981, CNEC Lee I Yao Memorial Secondary School stands as a testament to faith and education. CNEC Lee I Yao Memorial Secondary School wasn’t always here. Initially, the first-year students held classes at nearby CCC Kei To Memorial Secondary School while construction finished. This temporary relocation lasted from September 1980 to August 1982 due to unfinished construction. Finally, in September 1982, CNEC Lee I Yao Memorial Secondary School opened its doors at its current location on Shing Fuk Street. Even then, a water pipe issue forced a ten-day closure immediately after opening. The school’s motto, “Faith, Righteousness, Loyalty, and Honesty,” reflects its Christian foundation under the Christian Nationals’ Evangelism Commission. CNEC Lee I Yao Memorial Secondary School, a co-educational institution, teaches in Chinese. English is incorporated through extended learning activities starting in middle school. Certain subjects, particularly math and science, are taught in English to prepare students for higher education. Three foreign English teachers enhance the English-speaking environment.
