Nestled on Choi Hung Road, the Choi Hung Road Sports Centre buzzes with activity. Can you imagine this site once housed the old Kai Tak Recreation Ground? The Choi Hung Road Sports Centre officially opened its doors on June 1, 1988. This vibrant hub offers a wide range of sports and recreational activities for people of all ages and abilities. The Choi Hung Road Sports Centre is conveniently located near the Wong Tai Sin Police Station and Sheung Hei Street in San Po Kong. It’s just a short 10-minute walk from the Wong Tai Sin Railway Station. Inside the Choi Hung Road Sports Centre, you’ll discover a multi-purpose arena, adaptable for various sports. This arena transforms into two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, or even eight badminton courts. For those who prefer table tennis, there’s a dedicated room with three tables. This room can also serve as a multi-purpose activity area. The Choi Hung Road Sports Centre also boasts two large activity rooms, perfect for dance or fitness classes, with wall mirrors, dance bars, sound equipment, and gymnastic mats. For squash enthusiasts, four squash courts are available. These courts can double as smaller activity rooms. A well-equipped fitness room caters to monthly ticket holders and qualified users. The Choi Hung Road Sports Centre is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring an accessible toilet, lift with assistive listening system, tactile guide paths, and Braille directory maps. The center is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm, except for maintenance days. These typically fall on the first and third Monday of each month, from 9 am to 3 pm. If a maintenance day coincides with a public holiday, it’s rescheduled to the following workday.
