Opened in 1990, Cheung Fat Sports Centre has been a vital part of the Tsing Yi community for over three decades. Cheung Fat Sports Centre is more than just a building. It’s a hub of activity, located on the 4th floor of Cheung Fat Plaza in Cheung Fat Estate. Imagine the roar of the crowd as a basketball game heats up in the multi-purpose arena. This same space transforms into a volleyball court or even four badminton courts, complete with spectator stands that can hold over 200 people. Cheung Fat Sports Centre caters to a wide range of interests. Feel the burn in the fitness room. The rhythmic thud of squash balls echoes from the four squash courts, three of which also double as table tennis rooms. For those who prefer a gentler pace, the multi-purpose activity room provides a space for dance or yoga. It’s equipped with wall mirrors, dance bars, and sound equipment. Cheung Fat Sports Centre is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring barrier-free facilities like accessible toilets and changing rooms, tactile guide paths, and braille directory maps. After your workout, freshen up in the men’s or ladies’ changing rooms. Secure your belongings in one of the 100 lockers provided. Cheung Fat Sports Centre opens its doors at 7 am and welcomes visitors until 11 pm daily. Be aware of the maintenance days, the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, when the centre closes early at 1 pm.
