Champion Motors Tower

Gazing up at the Champion Motors Tower, one might mistake its unique design for two colossal skyscrapers locked in an embrace. The Champion Motors Tower, a 40-floor giant, dominates the Bnei Brak skyline in the Tel Aviv District. This striking building, reaching 160 meters high, became the fifth tallest building in Israel upon its completion in 2013. It stands as a prominent feature of the Bnei Brak Business Center. This area, once a humble car lot owned by the Champion Motors company, has undergone a dramatic transformation. Champion Motors, known for importing renowned car brands like Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, and Skoda, decided to move its operations in 2009. A new service center was established in Petah Tikva, leaving the original site ripe for development. Initially, the plan was a modest 16-floor tower. However, ambition grew, and the design was revised to its current impressive 40 floors in 2011. This change occurred almost a year into construction, a testament to the evolving vision for the site. The Champion Motors Tower now boasts a staggering 50,000 square meters of floor space. This vast structure sits on a relatively compact 8,000 square meter plot. Five levels below ground provide ample parking. At street level, showrooms gleam, displaying the latest models from Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, and Skoda. The remaining floors buzz with office activity. During construction in 2011, the insurance company Migdal secured a one-third stake in the tower. They invested 70 million shekels, becoming a crucial partner in funding the project. Even a structure as imposing as the Champion Motors Tower isn’t immune to the forces of nature. The building sustained minor damage during the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake and required evacuation. The Champion Motors Tower stands tall, a symbol of transformation and ambition. It represents the changing landscape of Bnei Brak.
